Branch Update: Closures in Rahway, Elkton, Whitehouse
April 2, 2021
Your Merck Employees FCU is going through some renovations that will ultimately provide a better member experience, but for now will cause some member inconvenience with accessing the following sites:
The Building 32 credit union branch on the Rahway campus is currently closed for renovations as part of Merck campus improvements. Once reopened, members will have a more modern, newly redesigned branch to visit. We expect the branch to reopen in the July timeframe, but will continue to update members on an exact reopening date.
The Elkton, Va. branch has been unavailable due to COVID restrictions on the Elkton campus, however members did have access to the ATM on the outside wall of the credit union. Starting April 7th, that ATM will no longer be available as construction begins on a new vestibule that will provide members more convenient access to the credit union. Members will no longer be restricted by the Merck campus restrictions once the vestibule is completed and will be able to access the credit union via the vestibule. We expect completion by July, but will continue to update members on an exact date for the new vestibule to open, which will include being able to access the ATM.
The credit union’s Whitehouse Station branch is slated for permanent closure due to Merck & Co.’s departure from that facility. The credit union is not certain on the exact closure date, but anticipates it to be in the July-September timeframe. We will continue to update members on an exact date for closure. Shared Branch/ATM Network We apologize for the inconvenience at these facilities, and urge members to utilize our many online services.
