Online & Mobile Banking


We are excited to offer full service banking on our mobile app and online banking site! To assist with any inquiries you may have, we compiled an FAQ to help address some of the questions you may have. As always, you can reach us at 732-594-3317.

The new Online Banking login can be accessed from beginning on August 26, however, you can also use the below and should replace any bookmarks you may have saved.

Online Banking Initial Login

To sign into the Online Banking platform for the first time, please follow the below steps:

  1. Enter your Member Number in the “User ID” field.

  2. Enter your current online banking (Shadow1) PIN in the “Password” field.

  3. You will be prompted to change your password which must be at least 8 characters, contain upper and lower case letters and numbers. Symbols are not required, but are recommended as a best practice.

  4. Next, add five (5) Intelligent Authentication Questions and Answers.

  5. Accept the Online Banking Terms & Conditions.

  6. Accept the Bill Pay Terms & Conditions.

  7. Next, you will be asked to enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication. This will require you to register a phone number to receive a call or text message as a means of authenticating yourself. At login you will be asked for one phone number, but can add additional phone numbers in the “Settings” area of the platform after you are logged into the system.

  8. Enter validation code received on phone number (either via call or text).

  9. You are now logged into online banking. You can make any changes or additions to your settings in the Settings menu at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Bill Pay

Merck Employees Federal Credit Union knows that you have enough on your mind in today’s world. With Bill Pay, you never have to worry about missing a payment with the option to set up automatic payments! Simply register online and start having peace of mind.

  • Log into online banking and click on the Bill Pay tab to register

  • Set up automatic or individual payments to creditors

  • The maximum single payment through Bill pay is $9,999.99

  • View Payment History

  • Overdraft Protection does not apply to bill payments

  • Available 24 hours a day – 365 days a year

E-Statement Benefits

In today’s digital world, MEFCU wants to make it easy and accessible for you to review your statements and protect your identity. We are also committed to helping the environment by going as paperless as you desire, which also frees up your office space from stacks of statements!

  • Retrieve your statements through online banking

  • Accessible from any computer

  • Statements are available for 3 years starting the month after sign up

Online & Mobile Banking Registration

Download the Credit Union’s Mobile App from the Apple App store or the Google Play Store. Simply search for “Merck EFCU”.

Our mobile app will allow you to deposit checks, pay bills, transfer funds and more.

To deposit checks through the app, follow the below steps:

  • Enter the amount of the deposit (cannot exceed over $9,999.99). If check exceeds the allowed amount, contact us at 732-594-3317 to have your limit increased.

    • Sign your check ( If payable to 2 of the account holders both must sign )

    • Write your account number on each mobile check

    • Write the words For Mobile Deposit to MEFCU

  • Snap an image of both sides of the Check and approve them.

  • Transmit the images to the Credit Union.

All mobile deposits submitted before 3:00 pm ET are subject to our Funds Availability Policy. To use RDC you must have a Credit Union Checking Account and the Mobile App.
